Our favorite free-to-play naval game has a lot of exciting content in store for it in the coming months. Wargaming has released a video detailing exactly what they have planned for World of Warships!
As we head into the New Year, the folks over at Wargaming have released a new video showing off what they have planned for 2016, and they want to make sure that they can cover some of the most requested features from the World of Warships community. They are going to start with working on team gameplay, and weather effects, along with more ships for players to enjoy.
Ever since the game went into open beta, players have been asking for a better team mechanic, much like the one that can be found in World of Tanks. Wargaming have announced that players will be able to coordinate their gameplay much better in 2016, and be able to play with reliable captains and friends much easier in the future. They have already announced that team battles will be included, but it will be interesting to see how this works out in the free-to-play game. At the moment, only 3 players can jump into a division together, but in the future up to 7 captains can jump into a game together.
More Warships Coming Soon
What would World of Warships be without the boats? That’s the question that Wargaming ask themselves frequently, and they are planning on introducing four brand new ship branches. The virtual shipyard will be getting a new Russian and German cruiser tree, along with a German battleship line. These will join the already extensive American and Japanese tech trees. Check out the video above to get a full run-down of what’s in store for the download game.
The free-to-play game has been out of open beta for a few months now, and it’s good to see that the Wargaming employees are working hard to bring more content and updates to the war game in the future.
