The world is a dark place. A horrible zombie apocalypse has extinguished most of humankind. Only a few survivors are left who are trying their best to get by on a daily basis. Based on AMC’s iconic show, this game will give you chills…
As part of a major zombie revival in popular media, AMC’s The Walking Dead came out in 2010. Audiences couldn’t get enough of Rick Grimes’ everyday battle for survival in a post apocalyptic world inhabited by the living dead. The show itself was based on the graphic novels of the same name created by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore, and Charlie Adlard. While both the comics and the television show mostly focus on Rick Grimes and his family, there are many encounters with other survivors who each have their very own story to tell. Developer Telltale Games took this idea as an inspiration for their spin-off game The Walking Dead - Season One.
Originally, the episodic interactive graphic adventure was released for consoles and computers in 2011. Since the release of the first episode, the game acclaimed for its dense drama and profound plot has spawned five episodes and an additional DLC. Now, The Walking Dead - Season One has finally found its way to iOS and Android devices. Anyone who has always felt like delving into this harsh postapocalyptic world on the go can now do so.
You will experience the game from Lee Everett’s perspective, a former criminal who has gotten a new chance at life thanks to the zombie apocalypse. He has made it his goal to protect an orphaned girl named Clementine from harm. Over the course of the five episodes, he quickly learns that zombies aren’t the only danger lurking in this dark world. Humans will do anything they can to survive in this harsh environment. In the adventure game, you have to keep in mind that all of your decisions have a direct influence on the further development of the plot. Take that into consideration when you play The Walking Dead - Season One.
The mobile game is not entirely for free. While the first episode is available for three, the other four as well as the special episode called 400 Days have to be purchased.
