Build a house and furnish it entirely to your liking. Create a customized Sim and watch them grow older as they accomplish their life goals. Meet other Sims and create bonds that will stick for the rest of their lives.
You must’ve been sleeping for the last decade or so if you’ve never heard of the life simulation The Sims, originally released by Electronic Arts in 2000. When the game came out just after the turn of the century, it accomplished what not many games had been able to, up until this point - it reached wider audiences than ever deemed possible. At the time, the industry rarely crossed the borders of its little niche, but the simulation allowing players to do mundane day-to-day activities with their customized avatar brought new players to the world of video games that had never before played a game of their own. Obviously, times have changed and more people play video games on a regular basis than ever before - not least due to the success of smart phones and mobile games. It is a no-brainer then that The Sims and the mobile gaming industry would come together sooner or later.
If you have always dreamt of bringing your Sim wherever you go, you can finally do so. The Sims FreePlay is bringing the Sims experience to your Android or iOS smartphone or tablet. The mobile app lets you enjoy the fun of this iconic simulation entirely for free. Enjoy all of the most important features of this franchise on the go.
Just as in the PC version, you will create your avatar (called Sim) first. Choose their gender, skin color, hair color, body shape, clothes, and personality completely to your liking. Creating a Sim lets you make all the important decisions for the way they look and behave. Should your avatar be more decisive, but less friendly? Do you want him or her to be more creative or rational? As in real life, no Sim is perfect and you will have to balance them out smartly. You can add up to 32 totally customized Sims to your world.
After you have constructed your house and spent all your money on furniture and decoration, you will have to find a job for your Sim. Your first house is very simple and you want a certain quality of life for your avatar, which requires the in-game currency. Aside from bigger life goals, you will make your Sim do mundane day-to-day things that are surprisingly addictive in a digital world.
