The Bot Squad

The guys and girls behind games such as EndWar Online have been busily working on a new mobile game called The Bot Squad: Puzzle Battles. The somewhat awkward title (at least in our opinion) already gives a vague understanding of what the app will be about. Ubisoft Shanghai’s upcoming mobile game will feature a mix between tower defense and action-based puzzle game. What makes us even happier is that it will feature robots on top of that! In The Bot Squad, players can choose whether they want to defend their base or attack an enemy’s base. It is up to them whether they want to play in an offensive or defensive way. Several types of robots can be used to play according to the preferred game mode.

The tower defense game features more than 180 puzzle stages that are categorized into four different modes. The main story missions will explain how the Re-Volt have managed to steal energy from Dynamo City.
The Bot Squad was soft-launched in New Zeeland and Australia early this year. Since then, the studio has worked on perfecting the experience. It still seems as though it is not quite clear when exactly the app will officially launch. The official homepage says October 16th, the press release mentions October 9th. To our surprise, the Google Play Store already features the game. If you have an Android device, head on over and download the mobile game now. If you have an iPhone, you might have to wait and see.
