Fans of the browser game Sparta: War of Empire never have to wait long between updates to their favorite strategy game. This time around there’s a whole bunch of new content for players to get stuck into. There’s a wide range of new items to be picked up in the in-game shop, along with a brand new sited all over the map that house Emporia; these are open halls where tradespeople gather to sell their wares and trade their goods.

Emporia in Sparta: War of Empires

Emporia have Arrived

The Emporia are new sites that are scattered all over the Hellas map. As mentioned, these new buildings are full of people buying and selling goods. This means that when a player takes control of one of these valuable sites, they gain extra resources. There are 5 different types of Emporia, so it’s important to search for an emporium that will give the best return on investment.

  • Trader’s Emporia: Drachmas
  • Roman Emporia: Denarii
  • Woodsman’s Emporia: Timber
  • Miner’s Emporia: Bronze
  • Farmer’s Emporia: Grain

I order to capture one of these valuable sites, both offensive and defensive units are needed; offensive to successfully take the site, and defensive to protect the site while it remains under the player’s control. One of the cool things about the Emporia, is that you can gain as much resources as your troops will allow. The more units that are at the site, the more resources will be sent back to the city.
