Quick, quicker, Sonic the Hedgehog! Sega’s blue mascot has found his way to your tablet and mobile devices, but don’t worry: he dashes through the levels as swiftly as ever! Don't forget to collect your golden rings on the way...
Sonic the Hedgehog has been a staple in the video games industry since 1991. Back in the day, Sega had its own 16-bit console and proved to be a serious competitor for Nintendo. The only thing that was missing was an iconic mascot character that would represent the Sega Genesis as well as Mario represented the Super Nintendo. Ever since his first platforming adventure and especially after the end of Sega consoles, the blue sprinter has successfully been featured on almost every imaginable platform reaching a broad range of gamers. Naturally, the anthropomorphic hero would also find his way to your mobile and tablet devices sooner or later.
Sonic Dash is a challenging platformer that brings Sega’s hero into the third dimension onto your Android and iOS devices. The fun mobile game allows you to play as Sonic the Hedgehog and run, dash, and dodge your way through countless exciting levels. Each level challenges you to run as far as you can go! This is not as easy as it seems.
Use your finger to swipe over your touchscreen to force Sonic to dash from one lane to the next. This will allow your blue hero to dodge obstacles that are in his way which would slow him down and hurt him. Not only do you want to make it as far as possible in each level, but you also want to collect as many golden rings as possible on your way.
Many powerups, such as head starts, shields and ring magnets, can be unlocked over the course of the mobile game to make it somewhat easier for you to run through the levels unharmed. The more you play Sonic Dash, the more likely it is to collect rewards, win prizes, and unlock additional characters. Later in the game, you can also choose to play as Tails, Shadow and Knuckles.
If you’ve always wanted to dash through diverse 3D levels with the blue hedgehog, you should take a closer look at Sonic Dash. Connect your game to Facebook to invite friends, share your results, and find out who is truly the best speed runner in the free-to-play mobile game.
