Visit your favorite iconic yellow family anytime and anywhere, as they are making their way onto your mobile phone in The Simpsons: Tapped Out.
How do you introduce one of the most iconic television shows of all times? There aren’t many pop-cultural hypes that have spanned so many different generations, touched so many lives, and have managed to stay fresh and relevant for such a long time. When The Simpsons first aired on Fox on December 17th, 1989, video games were still either played on arcade machines or 16 bit consoles and the internet was only slowly getting more accessible to a general public. The most successful handheld device at the time was Nintendo’s Game Boy. Naturally, there were console, arcade, and Game Boy games based on America’s favorite yellow family. Times have changed and so have The Simpsons. Now, you have a chance to visit the fictional town of Springfield wherever and whenever you want. Publisher EA is bringing the iconic show to your Android and iOS devices.
In The Simpsons: Tapped Out, it is up to you to rebuild Springfield, entirely to your own liking. Homer Simpson accidently caused a nuclear meltdown which completely destroyed his hometown. Now, Homer is all alone and is desperately trying to find his family. Help him find his wife Marge, his kids Bart, Lisa, and Maggie, and all of his friends, while you create your own customized version of Springfield.
The free-to-play mobile game features many jokes, quests, and animations created in close cooperation with the original team behind the animated television show. Complete your tasks, such as making Apu work a ridiculously long shift at the Kwik-E-Mart or growing Tomacco on Cletus’ farm, to earn delicious donuts, the in-game currency.
If you’re an avid fan of the show, you will be delighted to find brand new content in this strategy game. If you’ve never watched an episode, it is finally time for you to meet the wacky yet disturbingly charming family that has entertained families for a quarter of a century. The online game will speak to fans and non-fans alike.
New updates will continuously add more content to explore, more tasks to complete, and new jokes to laugh about.
