The developers of the PlayStation 3 game LittleBigPlanet brought you this fun mobile release, Run Sackboy! Run!, on iOS devices earlier this year. Taking inspiration from a scene in the Forrest Gump film, where the young Forrest can be seen running from his pursuers in a bid for freedom, this quirky free-to-play title has players running, jumping, and sliding in an attempt to escape an evil pink dragon! While the similarities between the two are questionable, the idea behind it still makes for a fun, free-to-play mobile game. What is more, it is now available for Android!
Seeing past the title’s reference to a film about mental illness, this free-to-play mobile game is actually full of quirky features and fun gameplay. It stands out from the crowd when compared with other endless runner games, namely Temple Run 2 and Subway Surfers. It has layered graphics that make for a patchwork 3D environment, in which the knitted Sackboy hero runs, jumps, and slides over seemingly infinite obstacles. Players can also connect the game to LittleBigPlanet 3 to get additional costumes for the console title.
