After the massive news that Rail Nation was coming to mobile devices, Travian have announced that their “Steam over Europe” update will continue to bring even more cool content to the game.
For anyone that hasn’t played Rail Nation, now is the perfect time to get involved in the strategy game. The game is now available on iOS and Android, so city-building fans can take their rail empire on-the-go, as well as playing in-browser. Last week players were treated to a trip to Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, and this week the train is on its way to Cologne to visit the iconic Cologne Cathedral.
Steam over Europe
This brand new addition to the authentic European map includes a whole bunch of realistic and detailed locomotives from across the ages. There are 48 different goods and passengers to carry safely to their destination. On top of this there are famous landmarks and special routes to be upgraded to turn each players rail cities into sprawling empires. As a thank you to their players, Travian are including login bonuses for all of their fans, which includes 100 gold, and a whole week of premium account time. This latest update is one of the biggest that the game has ever seen; it even trumps the USA update from last year.
As you can see from the trailer above, there are loads of different cities and landmarks to explore; players can visit nearly 50 different cities with all of the iconic landmarks that you’d expect to see while on a trip. Some of the most famous landmarks are the Brandenburg Gate, Cologne Cathedral, and of course the Eiffel Tower in Paris. With all of this famous and beautiful architecture around, it’s easy to forget the important job at hand; grow the rail company into a massive sprawling network complete with trains, boats, ports and container ships. At the moment the mobile version of the update has not been released, but it will be rolling into the station in the coming weeks.
Rail Nation is completely free-to-play, so grab your mobile device and get it from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, or play in your browser if you're more of a traditional gamer.
