The franchise has always fought a tough battle against Electronic Arts’ FIFA series. The latter has managed to give the Japanese publisher a hard time in the past, purchasing the exclusive rights for major leagues, such as the German Bundesliga or the Premier League. Often, this resulted in slightly changed player names and jerseys in PES (Pro Evolution Soccer). The American studio recently announced that it would discontinue its own soccer-manager games, and thereby opening a niche for Konami that it hopes to fill with its upcoming mobile game.
In Pro Evolution Soccer Manager, players will take on the role of a manager for a European soccer players. Their goal is to lead their team to the top of all European rankings. The right tactics, smart training and good investments will either make or break them.
It is still unclear when the title will actually be released. As of now, we only know that this will be "soon" according to the official website. The mobile game will launch on all Android and iOS devices in more than 55 countries across the world.
