Super Monkey Ball 2: Sakura Edition Description

Choose your favorite monkey, let them hop into their transparent ball, and guide them through colorful mazes. Instead of steering the monkey in the ball itself, you move the entire floor of each stage influencing in which direction the ball will roll…

Meet AiAi, MeeMee, Baby, and GonGon - the four protagonists of this mobile adaptation of the Super Monkey Ball series. The franchise has been around for more than a decade already. The original installment came out in 2001, but the series’ gameplay only really came to fruition in later installments of the franchise. In the games, one of four monkeys will hop into a transparent ball and try to make it through each stage. Instead of steering the protagonists themselves, players tilt the entire stage influencing in which direction the ball will roll. Naturally, no platform or controller is more equipped for this kind of gameplay than smartphones and tablets, which is why it is a no-brainer that Super Monkey Ball 2: Sakura Edition was released for all Android, iOS, and Windows Phone devices.

The gameplay in Super Monkey Ball 2: Sakura Edition should be familiar to anyone that has ever stepped foot in the colorful world of this series. You choose your monkey, select a stage, and control the direction in which the ball will roll by tilting your mobile device. What sounds really simple actually gets quite challenging over time. The mazes that you will face get more and more narrow, making a steady hand of utmost importance.

The mobile game features more dozens of stages in more than six different worlds - each with its own specific theme. Explore the Sinking Swamps, the Cobalt Caverns, the Ultra Heaven, Jumble Jungle, Pirate’s Ocean, and the Far East World.

In case you need a break from the main levels, you can check out the four additional mini games. Monkey Target, Monkey Golf, Monkey Bowl, and Monkey Base all take a unique turn from the main gameplay, offering refreshing fun for in between.

Check out Sega’s Super Monkey Ball 2: Sakura Edition if you’re looking for a free casual game for your smartphone or tablet.
