Microsoft Flight: Literally Going Offline this October

Even though it has already been two years since the overall development of Microsoft Flight has come to a halt, players were still able to embark on aerial adventures in the free-to-play simulation game with other pilots, friends or perfect online strangers without having to worry about a thing. Now, dark clouds have risen over the Flight community after the following statement has been released on the official game homepage:

Microsoft Flight is scheduled to be grounded on October 14, 2014 at which time the multiplayer servers will be shutdown. This will affect online features, such as multiplayer and aerocaches; the single-player experience should remain largely intact.

So here’s what you need to know: New players are no longer able to sign up for Microsoft Flight as the team has stopped sending out product keys. If you're already playing the flight simulator, you will still be able to continue soaring to new heights - as long as you are only interested in single-player missions, that is. Any achievement related to multiplayer gameplay will be out of the picture starting on October 14th this year when the respective servers are shut down.
