The popular card game franchise has returned for another addition of the Duels of the Planeswalkers series. Collect new cards and battle tough opponents while keeping your eyes on the prize. And by prize we mean legendary creatures and spells, of course.
Before Blizzard and other big game studios joined the card game genre, there was pretty much just one franchise that kept strategy gamers busy. We are talking about Magic: The Gathering, of course! Prepare to collect hundreds of different cards - whether that’s a creature, a spell or mana - and create a deck that fits your play style in Magic 2015. Keep in mind that pretty much any card falls under a certain category, namely a color. While there are endless possibilities when it comes to building synergies, combining certain cards and having a unique deck, it’s a good idea to follow a strategy when going up against other players or other planeswalkers.
Here’s a quick guide to all colors available in Magic 2015: White is the perfect pick for anyone that enjoys playing lots of small creatures and wants to increase their health. Need a little bit of healing? Just cast a spell. Want to attack and restore life while doing so? Join the White side of life. Then there’s Blue that is all about keeping the opposing player in check and controlling the board. Black cards focus on death and decay. That means that players who prefer Black as their main strategy are willing to harm themselves, as long as that means that they get to be victorious in the end. Building a Red deck requires you to be quick, aggressive and ruthless. Boom! Green players tend to buff up their minions until they become absolute beasts that are very difficult to deal with. Make your pick!
Magic 2015: Duels of the Planeswalkers is available on Xbox One, Xbox 360, the PC and mobile devices. Simply download the mobile app for free and try your luck in card-slinging battles against players from all around the globe or in single-player challenges. Meet other planeswalkers on the battlefield and hope to draw well, as each match is different from the last. If there’s something you would like to change about your deck, feel free to tinker with different combos as you see fit.
