Tomb Raider fans beware – Lara Croft is back, and she is going on an adventurous journey to relive her most iconic moments in Lara Croft: Relic Run!
You know a game is bound to be good if it involves hunting treasures, a strong female protagonist, and a ferocious Tyrannosaurus Rex! All of this was featured in the first installment of the Tomb Raider series – a franchise that has managed to influence an entire genre and ended up completely reinventing itself. Lara Croft’s journey started in 1996 when she debuted on the Sega Saturn, the PlayStation, and PC. What started as an iconic adventure started losing its momentum less than a decade later. It took until 2013 for Tomb Raider to make a much-awaited return to consoles and PC. A more realistic, gritty and mature interpretation of the story brought Lara Croft back to the limelight. If you want to relive her most iconic adventures from the classic series with a modern spin, you should take a look at Lara Croft: Relic Run.
In contrast to the reboot of the franchise, Lara Croft: Relic Run is not an action-adventure but an endless runner that is available for mobile devices. Instead of thinking of Subway Surfers or Monkey King Escape, you should think more in the direction of an action-adventure game in which your protagonist doesn’t stop running. Lara Croft: Relic Run features action-packed levels through various popular settings of the franchise. Run through a jungle and battle it out against the terrifying T-Rex. Your parkour moves will make sure that you get through even the most difficult of situations. Swipe left and right to evade obstacles and up and down to jump over them or duck under them.
If running away won’t allow you to succeed, Lara Croft will pull her gun having you shoot any enemies that cross your path. This adds yet another action element to the mobile endless runner. Since you’re an archaeological adventurer, your will collect relics and treasures along the way. Collect enough gold to purchase new upgrades for your outfit and gear.
Lara Croft: Relic Run is available for iPhones and iPads, Google smartphones and tablets, and Windows Phones for free.
