Agent 47 is at it again. This time, he has chosen his sniper rifle as his primary weapon. Take on the role of this iconic bald hitman to defeat all of your targets. Remember to be quick and inconspicuous as always, as you don’t want to get caught...
Most major gaming franchises find their way to your mobile devices sooner or later. Sonic Dash, Assassin’s Creed Pirates, and The Sims FreePlay are all mobile installments of popular gaming series that have been around for years. With Hitman Go, publisher Square Enix has already brought the iconic Hitman franchise to players’ iOS and Android devices. With Hitman Sniper, the studio is bringing another aspect of the stealthy series to mobile phones and tablets.
In 2000, Hitman: Codename 47, the first installment of this action-adventure franchise, was released. After the game’s success, four more sequels to the main series followed, each of them revolving around Agent 47, the cloned assassin-for-hire who gets every job done without getting caught. In 2014, Hitman Go was released - first in the iTunes Store and a few weeks later in the Google Play Store. It brought an entirely new approach to the series featuring isometric tactics and turn-based gameplay. Square Enix’s second mobile installment brings yet another interpretation of the series to Android and iOS devices - completely for free.
As the title suggests, Hitman Sniper focuses on subtlely executing your enemies. If there’s one thing that a sniper should be, it’s subtle. Only by remaining quasi invisible will a sniper retain his upper hand. Square Enix describes the mobile stealth game as a massively competitive sniping game. In a first-person perspective, you will look at your targets and tactically choose the right moment to eliminate each and every one of them without being caught. Using your touchscreen, you are able to move your rifle in any direction, zoom in, or zoom out. Each level has a high level of replayability, as there are numerous ways to complete your objectives. Try to perfect your approach to climb the international leaderboards. The more swiftly your gaming style, the higher your score will be.
