Put on your full leather suit, grab your clipboard and headset, and start winning some races. It’s Grand Prix Racing season and all the decisions are in your hands in the new racing manager Grand Prix Racing Online.
Grand Prix Racing Online gives you a great sense of what managing a Formula 1 race team feels like. You will be responsible for all the important decisions in order to improve your team's performance, but also maintain funding by dealing with sponsors and winning races. You might not be aware of this, but managing a Formula 1 racing team is more than just a 90 minute race every other week! While you get to travel around the world, you have to organize your finances, your fundings, your technological research, and your team's performance. Failing and winning relies on a number of things in this racing game - and in the end, they all reflect on your skills as a manager.
When you sign up, you’ll have to wait until a spot opens up in a rookie racing group before you get started, but once your spot opens up, you will be right in the thick of the action. You’ll start with a level one car and a standard and not very accomplished driver. Every new manager also gets $30,000,000 to start financing their racing team as long as you join at the beginning of the season. After that, you will receive a progressively smaller amount depending on how many races you missed.
The races take place twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays. You can watch the races unfold live online while chatting with other managers in the event’s chat service. Scoring for each race is based on the old Formula 1 scale, where managers in positions 1-8 get 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 points respectively.
Aside from focusing on race days, you will also have to allocate your available funds efficiently to maximize your team’s performance. Aside from the standard upgrades to your car, you will be able to train your driver, hire new staff, do practice races and participate in qualifying events to give your team their best possible shot when the important races come around.
