Glitch: Shutting Down - Winter Proves too Harsh

Tiny Speck recently announced the upcoming end to the world of Glitch. As of December 9th at 8pm Pacific time, the game will be taken offline. All applications that rely on Glitch will understandably also be going down at the same time the game closes. All that will remain will be the website and forums, which will eventually be shut down at the end of the year.

That is one sad picture.

Refunds for recent purchase are going to be processed immediately, while older transactions will be dealt with starting from the most recent purchases and working back from there. Anyone with questions or concerns regarding their past payments or the availability of refunds for their own account can visit a special refund page on the Glitch website.

As Glitch expanded from browsers to mobile platforms, the resources of the developers were eventually spread too thin with the complicating factor of simply not attracting enough players until the point the game has reached now, where the game simply cannot sustain itself. Developers are heartbroken over the development and expressed their gratitude to all of Glitch’s supporters in the announcement.
