It has been quite the journey for Telltale Games’ Game of Thrones: Season One. Almost exactly one year ago, the narrative-driven adventure game was announced. The first episode launched on December 2nd, 2014, introducing players on Android smartphones and tablets as well as iPhones and iPads to the Forresters. The story started out during the events of the iconic Red Wedding (no worries, there won’t be any spoilers here). The following episodes were originally scheduled to launch approximately every six to eight weeks. The fifth episode, however, already came out on July 21st, and players have been desperately awaiting the season finale. Finally, the GoT community can find out what happens to Gared, Mira, Rodrik, and co., as the sixth episode launches on November 17th.
Naturally, the final episode will not be available for free and will have to be purchased by players. If you have not delved into the adventure game yet, but want to find out whether it tickles your fancy, you can download the first episode for free and give it a run for its money.
Telltale’s Game of Thrones: Season One is based on HBO’s series Game of Thrones, which in turn is based on George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire books.
