Delve into the artistic hub of the Renaissance - where the greatest paintings, sculptures, and architecture was created. Instead of slipping into the role of an artist, you will be an assassin who unravels the dark deeds of Italian aristocracy of the time
Judging from all the games that have come out since the original launch of the series, one might think that the Assassin’s Creed franchise has been around for decades. However, the first installment only came out in 2007. Since then, more than 20 games (not only sequels within the main series, but also spin-offs) have followed covering pretty much every platform imaginable. Some of these spin-offs are pretty far removed from the original adventure game, venturing into completely different genres. Take the two mobile games based on the series’ universe. Assassin's Creed Pirates is a strategic war game in which you steer a ship and Assassin's Creed Memories is a trading card game with roleplaying elements. Now, the folks over at Ubisoft want to make sure that fans of the original gameplay are also catered to on mobile devices. Assassin’s Creed Identity is a free-to-play action RPG for iOS devices.
The mobile game is part of the Renaissance era of the series, set in various Italian cities of the time. Assassin’s Creed: Identity brings the classic gameplay to iPads 3 and later and iPhone 5 and later. The controls have been completely adapted to the touchscreens of your mobile device allowing for an optimal gaming experience.
Instead of merely adapting one of the previous installments for your iOS smartphones and tablets, the studio developed an entirely new game. Randomly generated missions based on 16 different types guarantee that no task will be repeated. That allows Assassin’s Creed: Identity to pretty much have an unlimited lifespan. Since the developers are aware of the way that players enjoy mobile games, the missions allow for short and varied game sessions catering to playing on the go.
In the action roleplaying game, you can choose between three different classes, all of which have very unique abilities. Customize your assassin and make sure that he represents you as a player.
